Well, I do believe that "whether or not Unite needs any stronger encryption than what we already have, why yes, and why not" is perfectly on-topic for a discussion about Unite.

That said, this is just my own opinion on the matter of topicness. I'm not a moderator and taking moderation into our own hands is not permitted according to rule 7 of the forum rules:

You say that even here there will be the possibility to set the tiles type to 32x32, 48x48 or 16x16? because in spring they will be added on mz

In Unity you can set the tile size to anything. You can even use different sized tiles in the same scene.

Unless Unite stops you from using the default Unity tiling system, you should be able to.

I'm really hoping this is the dawn of a new era. RPG Maker MZ, although similar to its predecessor, has already brought many shifts to the community and development practices, with its much superior Plugin implementation in particular. Unite should be able to bring in a whole new audience and catapult RM into new heights, at least in terms of what it can do. I really hope that it is an Unity add-on of sorts whose components we can fully and freely edit. This will be insanely sturdy.
I also really hope they went out of their way to make it rely as much as possible on baseline Unity functionality rather than coding stuff their own way. Less time handling sprites, movement and window base classes = more time handling the actual meat of what makes rpg maker unique.

i can't wait to straight out ditch the Unite default map implementation, make my own unity maps, but then be able to call the Unite menu and battle system as needed. I mean, I hope I can do that, anyway.

Maybe I should study to find the cure of cancer, master karate and taekwondo to final Dan, write algorithm for the natural moon, travel to India and remake the Sanskrit language, all the while waiting for update of Unite...>:(

I hope within a few weeks at the end of the month.
Regarding the release, I think by summer or fall 2022

If anything, it might be like RMWeb and Ace, ppl gets early access to new forums and software, after preordering the software.

Now don't get me wrong, I really am excited for both new forum and new rpg maker. But it dawns on me to ponder, why can't they just use RMWeb as base of operation for all RPG Makers, instead of holding new forums, which could lead to ensuing distraction and confusion? I'm speaking objectively here,..but as subjective? NAAWWW GIVE US NEW FORUM TO REFRESH AND REVITALISE OUR GAME MAKING VIBES XD

Since Unity can run on my old notebook, I wonder and hope Unite would be the same. Here's hoping, finger crossed, that the new iteration would be so overwhelmingly captiviting that the old legendary users of RPG Maker during its heyday (in the year 2006-2013), will make a come back!

because RMW is owned by Degica, not Kadokawa?

Until now, Kadokawa never cared about international support or presentation (as proven by the fact that the non-Degica Pixel Game Maker MV had no forum until now), and it appears that someone decided to take the support for those engines where the (other) international distributor didn't provide a forum into japanese hands.

Actually that might be seen as an indication that Unite will not be covered by Degica at all, which also means that the rules for asset use would not automatically include that.

and yet, their new landing page has links to unite, pixelgame, mz, degica's forum/page and a page with 1:1 copy of all released dlc's

I was thinking about making a MZ version of SRPG Engine, but it doesn't feel like it worth the time. Now Unite? Oh hell I'm gonna make SRPG Engine Unite!

Which if so would likely require some serious clarification owing that we're all used to having asset transition clearance whenever there's a new Maker release. Any break in that chain would also break those people who have already invested in asset packages that would suddenly have to be changed, replaced or redesigned in order to even move their projects over. I don't think anyone can afford to do that to us.

finally got this scripted right lol... I was running into a few issues like getting the event to play when all enemies were ko'd, actors going in and out of their victory poses, etc... still need to tweak a bit tho.
Which version should I get? 2000, 2003, XP, VX, VX Ace, or MV. I'm a beginner and have no coding knowledge and also I wanna be able to add voices.
