I had the pleasure today to clean a computer after an indie developer couple I know accidentally infected their computer with the solidfiles installer. I don't know if I should blame them, they had an actual antivirus software installed, used a link from a rather serious source (this forum) and tried to download a rather serious Ace Script that's used by many people.
To be honest, I myself didn't believe at first, that their Anti-Virus wouldn't stop, but I tried it myself and could reproduce the effect. For now I showed them the little link to download from Solidfiles without the loader, they are sensitized and I have encased their browser in a sandbox, but is it really necessary always to use bad file hosters?
