I was thinking the DS pack was a members+ item but in a status update the member said it isn't was hoping for more details because I couldn't find the item in the store.

It read that the release was today, yet I don't see them anywhere or news of them.

@If a member+ item - Would new members joining members+ get them?

As always, we will make an announcement when a new product is available in the store. Please be patient. A lot of work goes into setting everything up, and sometimes there are unexpected issues that can slightly delay release.

It's not a Member+ exclusive. Member+ folks got an early look at the screenshots and the process of getting them ready for release. :)

People just have to be patience. Rather waithing a longer time and having good stuff then a fast release and getting things that just are 50% done....

Another thing to remember is that a lot of work goes into editing tiles that were made for other resolutions (such as the Nintendo DS.) A lot of polish, and a lot of delays. Patience is a virtue.

(Personally, I'm fine with a pixellated look, and would gladly pay for low-fi tiles, but I digress ;) )

Well, the problem really with the DS tiles is they are 24x24 iirc, which makes them not map in any way to 32x32 without a lot of awesome work from Archeia :p .

Speaking of that, can anyone of you tell us how exactly the 24*24 tiles where made compatible with VX Ace?

Some of them would tile with themselves so they would be easy stick 4 together. Most would need to be re-pixelled, some from scratch probably.

According to the fb post, the pack was actually ready the other day, but they came across a few new resources and decided to hold off in order to add those.  So "editing tiles" and "polish" is not the delay here (unless that has to be done to the new resources too, in which case whoever is doing them is extremely fast, because it was stated the delay would only be a couple of days).

That is correct. We received some new resources a day before the release date, so we had to hold off until Sunday and spent all nighters to create the autotiles (mad respect for EE for his speed and help) to fit 32x32 format. And let's just say by Sunday morning we had to test it thoroughly to find some errors (found a few). And then add some new item objects again since we have a little bit of a time and recheck them and finally upload and then release it. It was a tough one since both of us were lacking sleep...which would also explain why we missed the exterior forest tileset bloop since, yeah...<_<;

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
