TL;DR: I'm looking for a way to make a gun show its ammo capacity alongside its other stats like attack or luck in the equip screen.

Hiya folks! So, I'm working on a system using Unco's ammo system (enabled with FOSSIL) to make guns that have a set amount of ammo before needing to reload. If you want to get an idea for how that works exactly, here's a tech demo of this system in action: .

The main idea is that various weapons use their ammo capacities to balance against each other. A sniper rifle might be more powerful, but have a smaller ammo count than a pistol or assault rifle, forcing the user to reload more often, and potentially making some skills with high ammo consumption entirely off-limits.

This means that a weapon's ammo capacity is a very important stat to communicate to the player. The only place where I can really do it right now is in the "Description" section, but that's less than ideal because A] This arguably most important weapon stat becomes the least highlighted of the lot B] the player can't immediately compare these pros and cons of two weapons in the equip screen like they could for attack and so on and C] it takes away valuable room for actual weapon-specific descriptions, of which there is already very little.

Ideally I'd want something looking sort of like this (pardon the ugly paint edit):1635166484580.png

Is this something that's achievable without plugins? If not, which plugins should I look into to make this happen?

Thanks in advance! Any help will be greatly appreciated!

no, you'll need a plugin - and most likely a custom one.

Any change to any screen requires reprogramming that screen, and that means a plugin for the new screen. And unless someone asked for exact the same screen with exactly the same change before, you'll have to request a new plugin.

Since the ammo is defined by another plugin it is extremely unlikely that a screen for it exists unless it was done in the ammo plugin, and that means you'll need a new plugin that is most likely useless for anyone else.

I suggest asking a mod to move this either to plugin requests (hoping that someone is willing to do this for free) or to classified requests (if you're willing to pay for the custom change)

Dang, that's disappointing.

Is there maybe a plugin you know of that would allow me to just make an arbitrary weapon parameter of some kind? I don't necessarily need the "Ammo Capacity" parameter to work off off an actual weapon statistic (In fact, the way I define their capacity is on a case-by-case basis with a common event that happens during every combat, see picture), I just need to be able to say "stat name: value of somesuch", which I am 100% fine with applying on a case-by case basis as well.

It doesn't need to have a specific mechanical implementation, basically, it really just needs to exist as a blank info box I can edit manually.

Solved! Turns out, if I use SumRndmDde's Equip Comparison Upgrade and a dummy element, I can easily enough make a dummy element to stand in for ammo capacity, and then make every gun have its own element rate for it, yielding this result (Thanks @VaiJack8): 1635175210611.png

aww man, color hex code #C4C4C4 doesn't work for the tint value in this scene I need something darker, which stinks just because I liked that one it was my favorite plastic explosive three times...#696969 (nice) should work better (WHY IS MY BRAIN LIKE THIS)
Tell it to me straight, doc. If I've been trying to piece together a "shorter" game to learn stuff outside of game jams... am I just running away from my WIP? :v
