[SOLVED] How can I stop a SE (Sound effect) from playing?

Hello!

I'm developing a game with voice acting, and when I intend to skip the dialogue instead of listening to the whole line, I can hear the two voice sound effects overlapping one another. I do use the command "STOP SE" after the text so that the player can skip dialogues if he whishes, but they won't stop playing.

As you can see in the below image, I Play the Voice, then text, and after the text -and before the next SE- I add the "Stop SE" ("Detener SE" in Spanish) command, still doesn't work.

whzat plugins do you have installed? Can you give us a screenshot of your plugin manager?

how does the rest of the event looks like? You cut away all properties, and those can have many effects. The content is only half of the event, please give a full screenshot.

Eventcommand Wait - 1 Frame Wait

It is just a Guess, but maybe it helps, if it helps i can explain why i guessed this.

It worked! But since I'm using a picture as a windowskin, within that 1 frame, the face graphic/text dissappears and the text box remains empty and it looks bad :(

Do you maybe have Pictures of that Textboxes + Pictures Code but with English Commands?
Because i see no Eventcode that includes Pictures in your first Picture.

Because i see no Eventcode that includes Pictures in your first Picture.
The common event brings the Windowskin Picture to the screen.

"Evento común: 1st WINDOWSKIN APPEAR"

I look at your Picture and i can't find this Line you mentioned:
"Evento común: 1st WINDOWSKIN APPEAR"
Am i overlooking it?

I tryed to rebuild it, here is what i found out:
- I see the 1 Frame wait causes the standard Textbox to close for a Split second.
While without Wait, the Box Skin stays and the new text appears.

- Without Wait, i could find no Bug, the sound worked fine.

- An empty trasparent self closing textbox instead of a wait command also worked on my end:

- Since you are using Picture instead of Windowskin, the Problem should not even happen,
that the Box closes between the two Textboxes is very strange. Or it is cause of your structure,
but error hunting in your case is difficult for me because of the different Language.

Another Blind Guess: Try to Update the Corescript of your Project to rule out an Engine Error.

I'm using MV. I don't have that option. Or maybe I do have the latest version already.

It's very odd, because I have a game prototype I made a few years ago, and there is voice dialogue, and what I'm intending to do in this game seems to work normally there.

I play de SE, add the dialogue, and right after the dialogue the "Stop SE" Command, and if I skip the dialogue, that Voiced SE stops and the next one starts. So I don't know what might be wrong :(

PS: I don't even know why my Maker is in Spanish lol
