I'm making a simple visual novel side-game inside my game. I have everything working perfectly, the only problem is that when I type \! to wait for player input using yep message core, if the player presses Enter before the first part of the text
reaches the end(which I always do when playing VNs), the text is displayed all at once, making the VN almost unplayable, unlike most VNs where the player can press enter for the first section of text, and the second section will still slowly be displayed, not instantly.

As you can see, if the player doesn't press enter while the text is filling up and waits for it to reach the segment end, there are no problems, but if they press enter while it's filling up, everything else will also be displayed instantly, unlike any VN. I want mine to be more like this.

Is there a solution?

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
