In old RPG Maker such as XP, VX, and VX Ace, when we press F1 during gameplay, there will be a settings menu appear. We can configure default key, default fullscreen, etc.

I wonder where the configuration file is stored, as I cannot find it inside Game.ini? Is it stored in Windows registry? I want to make sure if I distributed the game, the settings is also applied to other computer as well.

Thanks.

It's in the game. On the title screen, there is a "Settings" option. That's it.

Also you posted in the VX Ace section, not the MV section.

Hi. Thanks for the answer. Maybe I didn't write English correctly.

But I am really asking this for my VX Ace game. I want to know, when I change some settings in F1 menu, where does RPG Maker store the value or the configuration file? Because I cannot find any value related to default fullscreen or custom button configuration inside "game.ini". Is it stored in Windows reg file, or is it stored somewhere inside .rvdata2 file, or is it stored inside appdata directory in Windows?

Ah! I see! Sorry about that :)
Here is what I know.
  1. Changing a setting changes it for all games with VX Ace.
  2. If you change the settings on the game, and then export it, the settings are not carried over.
  3. It changes the settings of the RGSS player. Not the game itself.
Based off of that...
I don't know where it is stored, but it is either in the appdata directory - that is the most likely option, in my opinion - or maybe the reg file. But not in the "game.ini" or "rvdata2".

@RyanBram
Please keep in mind that the keyboard configuration is computer-based, not game-based, and that its main purpose is to allow for different keyboard layouts to be adapted.
Most people will not like forced changes to every RM game they play, and if the keyboard layout doesn't fit their keyboard it will cause them several problems.

For example using the Z key which might be located bottom left or top middle depending on qwertz or qwerty keyboard layout.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
