Hey, there!

Well, basically my problem is that I'm using Yanfly's Quest Journal Plugin; and when I create a first quest and then I use the pugin command to Show the Quest in the Journal, 'Plugin Command Quest add 1' it doesn't show up, even though it marks that there is a quest available.

Here's a screenshot of my problem:

As you can see, at the upper categories, it acknowledges that there is a quest, but it doesn't show up in the lower part with the red circle.

Check your objectives in the quest plugin settings. I suspect you're missing something in there.
Post some screenshots of your quest setup from in the plugin manager and we might be able to help you.
The quest journal takes a bit of configuring but it works nicely once you get the hang of it.

This is it:

I brought this plugin from an old project and copied it from the Plugin manager of that previous project. It works properly in that old project, but not in this one :C

How does your event look like? do you have YEP_Message core as well?
if you have it, do you have the plugins in the correct order?

if you have the plugin in the incorrect order, the plugin wont work correctly.

It's a regular event with a brief conversation and then the Plugin Command.

I do have YEP_Message Core Plugin as well, and tried to place the Quest Journal Above it or below it and I'm still with the same problem :(

Since the quest plugin can tie into the main menu I wonder if you need the YEP_MainMenuManager as well.....

I have the Quest plugins way down towards the bottom (following the recommended order) and I also have the few non-YEP plugins at the bottom after all the YEP stuff.
I haven't used any of the Mog stuff so have no clue how well it works with Yanfly or if any of it needs to be after Yanfly's.

I did a quick test quest and even with just adding a quest but not changing anything in the settings for it I get it showing up just fine.......

Are you using plugin commands to open the quest journal? I've only used the tie-in to the main menu and open it from there......

@Quimey you YEP plugins arent in the correct order, so thats why it doesn't work correctly.
it is also advised to have YEP plugins ABOVE every other plugins (VE, MOG, SRD etc)

place your YEP plugin in a proper order given on his website and it work correctly.

@zzmmorgan YEP_MainMMenuManager isn't need for it, the order is the cause of it.
and some of your plugin arent in the correct order as well, this give problems later on.
as for you, check his website as well.

I could swear I was following the recommended order and so far haven't encountered any issues but I'll recheck just in case.

Could you please link me to the website you mentioned? That link doesn't work for me. To see if there is something there I could use to fix the problem

I continue to have the same problem :(

I'd like to mention that there is something wrong in my current project, because I have another project and the plugin works perfectly.

I'd like to work with this one because it is extremely customizable and I believe it's a wonder but I still can't figure out what is impeding the plugin to show the quest.

I SOLVED IT!

Just for the record and if anyone else goes through this same problem I will explain what exactly happened to me:

1) I had two projects. The first project I implemented the Plugin in, worked. In the second one, it didn't. That made me think that in the second one was a plugin that would conflict with Yanfly's Quest Journal Plugin.

2) I tried reorganizing the plugins, turning them ON/OFF to see which one was causing the issue but it didn't work either.

3) Then I copied the Quest Plugin from the Plugin Manager from the first project (Where it worked) and pasted it in the Plugin Manager of my second project.... IT WORKED!

WHY?

- Because when I got to manage the plugin, I realized that the error I was getting (It wasn't showing the quest in the list), was because I had changed the 'Quest Type text' From "Main Quests" to "Story Missions". I think because it was not what I should had modified, so I changed it back again to Main Quests and it worked!

Thank you everyone who tried to help me, I LOVE THIS BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY!

Quest Type Text can be anything though, even "Journal" or "Adventure Book", so there
might be something else, like missing a sign or symbol between the paramaters where
you create the quests in or something else for example

Name needs 2 " quoutes" but you used 1 instead like "Missions instead of "Missions" or 'Missions'
or around those, maybe a missing closing brackets.

A tiny typo or missing thing which can be "Missions' with a wrong symbol can lead to those
tiny things not working or showing up :)

You are right! That or... I was modifying the text where I shouldn't had! :)
