Soma Spirits is a light-hearted RPG crafted in RPG Maker VX Ace, built with colorful, custom pixel art visuals and and filled with strange characters. The project aims to aims to be a short, 2-3 hour RPG with branching paths. Rather than being fast-tracked and locked into paths from the start, you are given choices throughout the story on how you wish to proceed, and the choices made will have a significant impact on the story's outcome.
The world of Soma Spirits is divided into two similar, but distinct versions of one another. At certain locations, you will be able to switch between the two worlds and find very different inhabitants, monsters, and clues on how to proceed forward. The choices you make in one world may have an impact on the other, and you may find that the decisions you made may have affected the world in ways you didn't imagine.
Playable Characters
Some call them two parts to a whole, but they're better known as Heart and Soul.
Heart is the Spirit of Joy, charged with the task of protecting the inhabitants of the World of Joy. Heart is an optimist, living each and every day to its absolute fullest. He wants to wake up and end every day with a smile and makes it his life's mission to make sure everyone does the same.
Soul is the Spirit of Sorrow, who protects the people in the World of Sorrow. While some may be quick to write him off as a pessimist and negative, Soul makes it his mission to keep everyone's eyes open and aware of how the world works. He is not one for escapism, and urges people to tread through life cautiously, but still to the best of their ability.

As of 3/2/16, I've been working on the game for about five months and at hard at work getting a demo together for you all to enjoy. I estimate that Soma Spirits is roughly 15% completed as it stands now, so there's a little while yet to go. Hope you all look forward to it!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
