Some sprites for my game to (hopefully) be

So I am currently writing a story which I have not fully fleshed out yet, but I have a few characters I am willing to share in the art place of posting, Think of something similar to the cartoon Tailspin (because I love that show...)

I am actually hoping to figure out how to enhance sprite size so that I can make them taller. Same goes for the battle animation sprites. These are the samples without shading.
