Consider this scenario, you are  so busy that I have no free time. while making games requires tremendous time spend. Should you get a copy now and let it collecting dust or just wait for sometime later that when price lower and more stuffs added?

If you are going to have absolutely no time to make a game now, or in the forseeable near future, I would wait. Yes, it's a good deal with some extra packs and all, but if you won't be able to use it until there are sales, I would wait.

What do you do that leaves you with no free time whatsoever? Work in a North Korean labour camp?

Anyway, I'd wait with buying MV if you have no free time, it'll drop in price later.

Depends on when you will have time.

People from Degica stated that the preorder Bonus will be the best deal for about half a year at minimum, and I believe Ace only got that many cheap sales in the last months because they new that the next maker was coming.

So if you won't be able to start programming for half a year and know that you can afford the price then, you probably should wait.

If you know for sure you'll be using the software and have the money extra now, preordering will let you get at least familiar with it in the months until you can use it.

It will make your hair silky smooth, people will all want to be your friend, and you will grow 2 inches! It will make you irresistible to the opposite sex.

In 6 months, the Japanese side of the RPG Maker community will grace all who are interested with epic stuff, you can wait 6 months.  It also depends on how much time you'll spend per day on it, I'm only going to do 3 hours of development a day and also work longer on days where no games are out for an extended period.  For right now until Airship Q comes out, I'll probably spend an extra hour or two on my game but it's only 3 hours after that due to the amount of December-March releases from Japan.

Even after the 6 months, this could still be the best deal, if you want to purchase the extra resources when the time comes. There's no way of knowing whether MV AND the DLC would all be on sale at the same time.

Hoppy, what do you mean? The Japanese community won't have to wait 6 months for MV. We're not getting it THAT much earlier.

@Hoppy, why only the Japanese community?

The English speaking community makes awesomeness too.

We have fantastic and talented scripters and artists from around the globe here. RM isn't anymore a Japanese pre carre.

I mean for like scripts and such, then you have the anime sprites, I may want to use some that they make (providing they can be used non-commercially).  VX had a wide selection of them.

Even if you don't have a lot of time you should get it now. You can spend 15 minutes here or there just hitting the "random" button on the actor creator and it will be fun. Do that instead of buying $4 Starbucks Coffee in the AM to wake you up. The program will pay for it self in less than a month, and you will loose weight because you are clicking instead of drinking coffee, and you may end up with a random character that gives you a muse for a piece of a game.

So that is why you should buy it now.

Im glad I made a choice that is waiting. I often dont rush for new tech release because I dont want to become tester. Let wait for the team squat all bugs and implement extras and since I do not have time for making games atm.

If you're really busy then wait for the next five or six months. MV will be on sale (hopefully) by then on Steam and even if it's only down by a few pounds/dollars, a sales a sale after all.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
