Might be worth inviting this user to our forums and seeing if others might be interested in working on such a project. One thing I don't see that often is a project worked on by many people and just throwing a github account up and starting a small team is really easy. I guess it just requires some leadership.

Yup I already had. It was the steam link at the very top. http://steamcommunity.com/id/sdldl is his profile. Hopefully whatever happens people try to keep this a public Project if he is willing. He sounds willing just needing the extra help.

I wonder if this means that we will get a VX Ace MMO in the future? Would be pretty cool.

Looks like he is willing to pretty much give it to anyone who would be willing to work on it. I assume for the public etc. It looks like hes not working on it anymore and is just looking for someone to pass it on too.

I would donate for anyone who would try to make this work and just add no server side anything really besides hold the players location on each map. This way you could see other people move around your world

Hello. First time post for me in this forum. I don't know anything about a server for this; but I am quite familiar with Java. I'd like to say development of rpg-makers seems to be a "thing" nowadays for the young programming initiates, most of whom I assume come from RPG Maker experience.

I know that, after trying the demo to VX Ace last year, I came across the Open RPG Maker project on Sourceforge -- and other projects are being made for game-making projects. -- Oh, and I may-or-may-not have my own alternative to RPG Maker in the works... Just sayin'; we few developers may be out there (or even in here...).
