It might be that this will require a script solution.  If so, it will possibly be moved again, but let's start in the straightforward location.

If you're talking about only dialogue (and keeping the regular font everywhere else), then you'll need a message system plugin that gives a textcode for changing the font.


If you're talking about changing the font for everything, there might be non-scripted ways, but even then it would probably be easier to use a plugin.

There is Yanfly's Message Core Plugin which only changes the font for the message window and leaves everything else the same:

You can either change the font via the Plugin Manager Parameters (Font Name) or with the text code \fn<x> inside a specific message window.
