Something that I've been wanting to try alongside composing music, mixing

Yes, I guess my signature and title give me away as a composer. Alongside that there is something that I've been wanting to do for a while now. Mix music for others! I've been mixing my own music like most composers do until they hire someone else to do the job. So here goes nothing!

Those who are brave, I'd be glad to do some mixing work for you! Since we most likely do not use the same virtual instruments and tools for composing, I'd need audio tracks. The best scenario would be where I'd have audio of all the instruments and sounds individually. If that is not possible, I can work on a already rendered stereo bounce also. That is a bit more like mastering but in the end the basics of mastering are not so different from mixing.

We can use Dropbox or similar services for file exchange.

I guess I might I've given an impression that I'd bill something. That I cannot do. I don't have a relevant portfolio for mixing so I have no grounds what so ever to bill anyone for my mixing work as for now. So. If there is anyone out there who want to work with me, I'm still up for the job

It might be a good idea to list some of the sample libraries, synths, plugins you have access to.  I reckon people might be more tempted to try this if they know what you can offer.

Regarding composing I already have the thread at Classifieds (I guess you've seen it there..?). I've contemplated on listing to sound palette that I use some times I feel listing Vienna Symphonic Library, would help but then again, the samples at their website are better than what I can produce so it doesn't really play out well. So I've not done it thus far.

Regarding this particular thread - focusing only on mixing work - what EQ and compressors I use doesn't really matter especially since I use just the stock plugins provided by ProTools. Yes they have tonal differences and especially functionality differences but all the same If I used UAD, Waves, Slate Digital etc, I can see it having a brand boost.

The reason I ask for audio is because it is much easier to work with and it is an universal language all DAWs speak regardless of the virtual instrument collections they might have.

P.S. Like I think I said, I don't have a dedicated mixing portfolio. I'd do this for free, the client can use the mix or not. I don't mind. I'll get more practice and eventually build up a dedicated portfolio.
