You do realize not everyone here is from the U.S., right? Also all your news links are broken.

I assume the entire internet's gonna get angry about it again for a month, then, like it's happened time and time before, it'll die down.

I thought they killed this and, what was it called, PIPA (it's brother bill)? Wasn't that what the Internet blackout in 2012 was for?

Big part of them are and that makes it more than worthwhile to warn people about it even here or they might come after your country eventually too and I think you would not like that in the long run.

What people are worried about is that if something like SOPA gets a foothold, it will spread to other countries too like some kind of virus.

The issue with this bill is that:

A. You get sent to jail to where murderers and pillagers are for uploading a video with copyright material.

B. The administration that revived it is from the same one that was against it.

Not to say anything against our big pres. but if he does support it which I haven't heard from then the possibility of him using the Executive Order is pretty high since it wasn't really the first time he used it to get a bill through legislation when it failed. This bill only has merits towards corporations and small people like us only get the benefits of a cushy jail cell.

I don't think this will ever go away. Not so long as powerful corporations, businesses, and other money making enterprises, continue to influence the government.

That's why money needs to get out of politics meaning that you would have to isolate corporations from politicians, but as it is right now would be impossible. Hollywood I know is cashing in on this along with some big buck music industries. It may not pass now, but in the future where we are pretty much like the Cybermen from Doctor Who then it will happen.

I'm only wondering how the authorities are going to deal with all of the people that are breaking the rules...do you build more jails?

And what about all the existing content? Order them to be deleted?

If SOPA and PIPA were passed in the US, then how many US-based websites would be inaccessible to all of you in other countries? Where are the borders on the WWW anyway? If one country's government gains control over the WWW in their country, how are they not supposed to affect other countries too (the cyber-border issue)? Look at China. They control it via the ISPs and prevent access to content to their users, but at least with them there aren't many China-based websites, like Amazon or Youtube, that people rely on so much.

I'm only wondering how the authorities are going to deal with all of the people that are breaking the rules...do you build more jails?

The SOPA that was killed in 2012 would have allowed the US Congress/Fed government to shut down websmasters/ISPs that they deemed aided in or facilitated pirated software (among other things), meaning that if the US government says you were pirating software, then not only your website, but your webmaster and your ISP could be shut down, screwing over and punishing alot of other people.

I'm not a fan of software piracy, and I do what I can to support those software and music companies that I like. I will purchase licensed software and music rather than bit torrenting it, or stealing it; but to allow any human government that kind of control would be foolish.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
