It was over six months ago that I started with the idea of putting realistic sizes and proportions on my 32-bit graphics so as to make the fantastic elements more fantastic. But I'll be (insert swearing) if I didn't forget about the fact that RPG Maker graphics are (necessarily) pinned into a 2.5-D 3/4 oblique perspective that makes finding source material absolutely insane! For the first few sprites, this wasn't a huge deal, as I'm an above-average artist and it was a fun challenge. But considering my quest lines alone are looking at a couple hundred NPCs at minimum, I *really really* need to get all of this into a standardized format/templating in order to use the Character Generator.
Now, my Google-fu is pretty strong overall, and I've found dozens of sites with artistic reference material for walk cycles, fighting cycles, etc. But none of these seem to use the 3/4 forced-perspective of the Chrono/Secret of Mana/FF6/LoZ -era games. I have made forays into altering Blender walk cycles with stock assets and even tried taping my phone to where the wall meets the ceiling to create my own reference materials, but this is getting crazy considering I'm just looking for realistic artistic references so I can draw it myself.
Does anyone know of existing resources that can do one of the following?
1. Sprite sheets or video of real humans/animals doing stuff in the RPG-Maker perspective.
2. 3D (EDIT: browser) plugins on a free website that allow me to manipulate/spin a 3D model online, such that I can put it in the appropriate perspective and pause action to screenshot or sketch it.
3. Easy-to-use Blender (or other free software) files with pre-programmed walk/fight cycles that I can tilt to the appropriate perspective to use as reference.
