First of all I want to say thank you to the wonderful people helping out and giving ideas and feedback in this forumspace.
SpaceChase was at first a demo i did to see how I could do eventing in RMMV. Then the idea of an open world space game came soon after I was disappointed by the game "No Man's Sky". I wondered, hmm can I do something like that in MV? So it's just been a hobby for the past two years. But now I feel like I'l soon have something like an "alpha" ready for testing if someone would try it out. (I will post here if people are interested)

I know the rules are to write detailed about the game idea, but since I had to make a game trailer because i feel my game might be a bit off the "regular".

GAME
Goal : Grind, hustle, earn money, make business or fish in space to buy better ship systems. Ultimate goal is to have a good enough ship to kill the monster that is devouring our entire universe. Side-quest's and puzzles will reveal more of the universe surrounding the player is the general idea. Might start working on a more complete story soon.

Story:
In the beginning we start with hero fixing his crashed ship after a battle with two pirates. Both pirates died, but the message is clear. The pirates will continue giving hero trouble until the diamond dept is cleared. Hero drives to nearest garage, then to gas station and then heads to the nearest explorable planet to mine up some diamonds. The hero mines for ore and diamond for a while when all the ground suddenly shakes up.
It was like a enormous thunderstorm from far far away into space. To find out whats going on Hero travels to nearest spacecity to watch the newslink.
Trough that channel Hero learns that a super-ultra-gigantic dark cloud has emerged from nowhere, what they thought first to be a black hole soon turn out to be not a super-ultra-gigantc dark cloud, but a super-ultra-gigantic monster. The monster looks like a purple and black whale / worm. So as they talk about the news and starting to scare about it, they all sudden get silent as they watching live on telly from another galaxy what happens when the monster is opening its mouth.


From here the hero will have the ability to discover the world in his/her own peace, and no game will be just the same. There is many ways to progress in SpaceChase, with money, luck, hard work or will you steal or kill?

I have plenty of ideas and there are numerous things to do to even get this to a "beta". But first I wanted to see here what kind of response I get. You know, it would have been great with an artist and or a writer on the team. (contact if intr)

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
