Split Gold Function

Please help!

I am making a game, and when the player enters a specific event, I want them to lose half of their money. How do I make that happen??? Control variables are working no matter what. Thanks.

I assume you mean Control Variables are not working. If that's the case, you need to give us a screenshot of your event, because you haven't got it set up right. You also didn't say what IS happening when the event runs - is ALL your gold being removed? Is NONE of it being removed? Are you certain the event is even running? How can you be sure?


This is what I think you should do:


Control Variables [001: Gold Amount] = Gold


Control Variables [001: Gold Amount] /= 2


Change Gold: decrease by variable 1

Thank you, I had forgotten that the change money function worked with variables... it's working perfectly now.
