Well, I just finished the game and really loved.

Really really liked to go on a ride with my friends and have such a nice adventure.
I liked it so much that I did never used a teleport to another rest place and I was always the driver.
Ofcourse it's a game about the journey.

One more good point:
I found only 2 bugs: I got invincible on the "stealth" part of chapter 13 don't know why... and an unformated message in one of those papers we can read around.

Even so, there are some stuff that bugs me...
Leaving chapter 13 out of this hahaha

The bad part for me is...
If I knew that the only way to go back to Lucis was by a "memory" I would not go ahead just yet, it takes away some of the immersion for me.
And now, after the end, I don't want to go back and do all that I left behind, because I know that I did die already

That's it. Tell me your thoughts, add whatever you want [:

Heya,

I don´t know, I will use spoilers, just in case.
It could be a good game. You are on a journey with your friends after all.

But:

First a few minor thing´s i just noticed:

Why you try getting a boat to Altissia, do a quest for Dino, and then decide to not go? Could have been more worked out.
Don´t like the gameplay for the really big boss, you know.

Big thing here:
I really dislike the Memory thing. After Altissia everything is so.... unfinished? Why the hell you wake up on an Island? And then all of a sudden you decided to save the City. Less talking, more like "Just finish this game!" Yay. :headshake: - and i just got that feeling.
Everything is so fast paced and i really disliked it. That things made the good game an average Game. Furthermore it made a bad Final Fantasy. At least for me.

But i would recommend it for Final Fantasy fans after all.

Greetings

Yes, I felt the same, but if I remember well
That is the moment when Noctis get to know about the Insomnia destruction and that Luna was there, right?

Big thing here:
Yes, exactly...
The game was perfect when playing in Lucis. I could not explore much in Altissia (the reason is that I though I would be able to go back there later...) but looks like after taking the boat, they were just trying to finish the game in a hurry.

Skip 10 years, when you get back you can't even see the rest of your friends... I wanted to see Iris and I could not even find Cindy at the Hammerhead '-' wth?

The ones you see act like if you were last seem a week ago... danm it 10 years is a lot for a friendship.

Really wish I had played everything to chapter 8 before geting that boat.

And finishing.. I may be wrong, but the quest you get from Cindy when you first use the memory thing makes me think that there will be content that you can only see at the memory part. What do you think?

Funny we felt the same about the game :)

They like. hey Noctis, long time no see, let´s safe the world. We don´t know where you have been for 10 years but that is ok! -.-

Yes there is some content you only can play when you finished the game.
If i remember correctly; spoilers after end game, be warned:

For example legendary weapon quests, flying Regalia ( really useless ) except you can go to secret Dungeons, and so on. Some cool stuff but nothing that saves the game for me. I don´t know if adamantoise is only after Main story. I killed him, no fun because.... yeah play it ^^

Hahaha yeah... and...

That note by his side... someone just left him there for 10 years, sleeping over a stone hahaha

.... yeah play it
Now I'll have to... I was all set up to play Xenoblade Chronicles but I feel like I didn't have enough of FF XV yet.

It's a serviceable game with a lot of potential, but was poorly put together both in game design and narrative design. It's a mess. The main characters are definitely a fun bunch to be with, but that doesn't save the poor pacing of the overall plot. I beat the game, and never touched it again.

The best thing I can say is that the battle system makes me hopeful for the FF7 Remake, because I'm sure Remake is going to be an evolution of FFXV's battle system, which was okay.

Prompto is cute

Oh.
It's weird... Final Fantasy XV is my guilty pleasure then.
I think it's currently my favorite game ever.
Also I came back to the game and played for more 10 hours, for some reason I'm not bothered anymore by the ending.

Although in the end I got tired and now I'm downloading TLoZ: BoTW on Wii U :D
SO, there's a big chance that FF XV goes to the second place and maybe third when I play Xenoblade Chronicles X... looks awesome hahaha.

Exact hahahaha.

They could just improve the Umbras' message a little to be more clear, and for God sake, cut chapter 13 by half

Just finished chapter 5, the game visual and plot are good, but the gameplay is not up to my expectation. Since FF series has never been an open world sand box style game so I have no complaint over linear story.

What I like the most is the party system, I don't feel like I am playing alone like other games where party are just dump NPCs.

The battle system where your party is really helping you.

What bored me the most are the quests, too generics, killing stuffs, finding items.

What I really want to see is like Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Where you can have fun of killing monsters in an interactive way and quests.

This is the best part for me also, they really feel alive.

I didn't mind, most of time the side quests were on the way of the main quest.
Althought I don't really like the Dave and the teacher quests.
BUT I love the hunts and exploring for unique items.

Yeah, exploring in Zelda is awesome, but to be true the thing I miss the most in this one is a party like the one from FF XV.
It makes me sad being alone most of the time in such a big (and beautiful) world.

Erm, I think they've changed the final fantasy series too much for me.
The battling does nothing for me, you've probably heard it a million times before but I prefer turn based battles, I preferred I am Setsuna, I think that game (for me at least) proves turn based combat can still work today, my favorite ff is 7 but I really enjoyed ffx and everything before it, 6 was really good too.
I didn't much like the open world style of it either, same reason I didn't enjoy metal gear 5 as much as I thought I would, massive empty worlds.
Not much looking forward to the remake of 7 now, might just stick with the original.

I even finished ff13 ff13-2 and ff13-3, I didn't think it could get much worse than that!

@The Working Man
Well, I also liked the turn based and linear ones, but I found a lot of fun playing with the strategic mode in XV.
Besides, even being open world you don't need to roam around exploring. It's more about travelling and getting some quests where you arrive, even tho you don't need to get those.
If you want, You can just follow the main quest and grind as every other FFs.

After some reading and watching some videos, I found the story to be awesome in XV.
This is a game full of easter eggs of it's own lore, you got to put things together.
I saw a lot of stuff ingame that I just passed by, but when I found out what they actually are, I got impressed.

Ah by the way, I'm not trying to make you like this game, I can understand and respect your reasons.
But man... I don't know... I just love this one hahaha.

Aye don't worry I get a lot of people enjoyed it, my girlfriend enjoyed it too I just don't think the way they're taking the series is for me.
Maybe it's all a nostalgic thing too, I mean I remember whacking it off school to play 7 haha.

Also the music, I'm hoping to go see nobuo uematsu in concert later in the year, the music he made for 6 7 8 and 9 in particular still amazes me, I think I just like the more retro style to the music and games I guess!

I was really hoping for the FF game to bring back the series after the XIII games. XIII was eh, XII-2 was going too far, then Lightning Returns was just stop. Make another FF game now. And I honestly was really happy with XV, the driving around was fun and not tedious really which is an accomplishment in itself. The beasts were cool and fun to fight plus riding chocobos was sooo much fun. I loved the characters and story in a whole. My biggest issue was Gladiolus, he seemed to not really have much development as a character and was kinda a dick at times.

All in all I really enjoyed it.

Yeaah, wonder if it's a matter of gameplay style, like: you certainly did the quests in a different way than I did, which may have triggered some relationship events in different places and time.

For instance, I had a "body event" with Gladiolus and with Prompto, but it didn't happen with Ignis.
And so, I found out that Ignis was out of place in my group he was the most distant.

Just my thoughts...

I loved it though I think the story was explained in enough detail. There are hints all over the game to kind of figure it out but I think they didn't want to bog down the player too much with story/lore and ended up leaving out too much so the game felt like an MMO.

I really like Noctis, Luna, Ardyn and Ignis as characters. I'm not a big fan of Gladio, its weird one minutes he's all cool, than the next he's like "Do your duty, crybaby" and it comes out of nowhere, that whole section could do with fleshing out imho.. it happens twice
firstly with Titan
and then again
on the train over Ignis being blind
.

With regards Prompto
his whole being an MT part just seems out of the blue, there is one cutscene where he drops hints about his past but its one of those hotel/camping events and triggers randomly I think. Himself and Noctis talk about how they met.
.

I'm on 97 hours playtime and have beaten it twice and 97% (just need to finally level up fishing and cooking) towards platinum trophy so I can't say it wasn't value for money.

The whole controversy seems to be with Chapter 13 which is not getting changed via patch next week. I absolutely loved that chapter so I hope not too much. I loved the helplessness and frustration of it. I loved that it was a slog. It was so dark and you almost felt as annoyed and frustrated as Noctis during it.
So I hope the patch can please the moaners without killing the atmosphere.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
