sprites change to wrong actor when touched...

I am not sure if this is an actual bug or if I'm doing something wrong..

  I am using a damaged version of an actor, face down as a dead actor.

  when my player approaches it, the face pic is correct but the sprite on screen changes

to an actor that is next to it in the damaged actor database..  depending on what side

I approach the character on.    I blocked left, right and behind with impassible items, but

the head-on approach STILL changes my actor to the sprite next to it in the database.

  has anyone else had this problem?

  To experience it, just add a BIG MONSTER as a new event, have it say anything, walk up to its sides

 and it CHANGES.

To keep that from happening, just turn on "Directional Fix". This prevents the event from turning towards the player when interacted with (the "Damage" and "Big Monster" sprites don't have directions and are just put together).

Damaged sprites are not full directional sprites, you need to use direction fix (bottom left) on them to prevent the turning (that function will turn a full directional sprite to look in the direction of the player if accessed)

next time, just report a topic to be closed - the mark solved button never was intended for closing, only for selecting and displaying the best answer
