Hello! First time poster here. I've had VX Ace sitting in my steam library for a while, and I've finally decided to see if I can use it.

Everything I've made so far seems to function correctly, but I'm running into a few graphical problems.

For example, when the player interacts with a book, the sprite changes into a tool.

Before Interacting:

After Interacting:

The tool seems to be in the spot directly above the book:

The Event page of the book for reference:

Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

Thanks in advance

RMMV
Most sprites are actually characters, where the whole "set" (3 columns x 4 rows) on the spritesheet is the same character, with animations in the columns and different directions in the rows. The default behaviour is for an NPC to turn towards you when you interact with them.

The spritesheet you are using is NOT for an NPC, but for an object, and every cell contains a completely different sprite. So you don't want it to animate, and you don't want it to change directions when you interact with it.

On your event page, check the Direction Fix box to stop it trying to "turn towards you" when it's triggered.

Thank you very much! :)

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
