hi guys just wanted to ask,i been making and editing a custom sprites and battlesheets for while but now i've tried to put them on the game and tested it

i see my problem on alignment i know i can rezise the image to fit on the frames but the problem is i dont know the size of the frame both for sprites and battle animations

is there anyway that i dont need to resize the image and just move them to exact places i'm currently using ms paint i have gimp but im not familiar with it

is there any website where i can easy align the image for my sprites?it's getting annoying specially when all i do is walking straight and they keep moving from side to side

and every battle even they're just standing they just keep moving and moving around the place

You should post a picture of what your trying to do maybe. I think the simplest way would be to test it on an already existing RTP character sheet. You can use different coloured pixels to find the edge of each poses frame. Learn gimp, use layers, use grid. It's really not that hard, i think it's harder trying to explain how to do it :)

Sprites are usually 32 x 32 which can be increased by adding $ or ! as prefixes for the filenames. When combined with the other sprite, the sprite sheet becomes  96 x 128.

Once you have all your sprites ready, what you need to do is "stitch them" into a sprite sheet. Here is a program that stitches for you: http://www.rpgmakervx.net/index.php?showtopic=38145

OR

If you want to do it manually, you would need to create a blank image with appropriate size. Should be something like (Width * 3) * (Height * 4) for your pixels.

Like Reiker says I would recommend learning how to use grids in gimp. I more familiar with the program photoshop so I can't be helpful with the program gimp.

Here I use a grid to properly see the borders. The grid was divided by 32 x 32 in this example.

There are more tedious ways of doing it like counting pixels or expanding the canvas each time you add the image, but the grids are the way to go for these kind of things.

Sprites don't have a required size, as long as it's composed of 3x4 frames (with $ on the name) or 12x8 frames, the game will load it correctly. As for battle animations (I'm not sure about this one, check the help file to make sure), animation sheets require each cell to be 196x196, maximum of 5 cells per row, and a maximum of 20 rows per sheet

get Paint.net... it's like Paint + a lot more, and it's free...

since the width is 240, each cell will be 80 pixels in width

just get Paint.net + get the Grid plug-in so that you can create a grid layer so that aligning things becomes easier

PS: DON'T DOUBLE POST

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
