Hey guys.

First time poster here.
Me and my friends just started playing around in RPG maker and wanted to start making a game, but I have some questions first.

1. SIZES:
When assigning art to a actor in the database you have to have three different sizes of art for the different uses. I.e Face, World, and Battle animations. Does RPG maker automatically recognize if I have a character that is 50x50 pixel or 100x100? or do they all have to be 48x48 for the over world, and 62x62 for the Battle animations? And if so, if I wanted to make a character larger than 62 in the battle screen, does he have to be scaled in 2 or 3 times 62x62? (vice versa for shrinking?)

2. FRAMES FOR BATTLER:
I've installed a plugin for the overworld sprites that gives me the option to have a number of extra walking frames, but has this been uploaded for the battler? Coz I can see that there are only 3 frames allowed per action on the sprite sheet, which is very limited to have good convincing battle animations.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. :)

RMMV
world sprites can be any size you like - they just have to be in a 3x4 grid for each actor, either with one actor per spritesheet (and spritesheet name starting with $) or 8 actors per spritesheet.  The engine will divide the width and height appropriately to determine the size of each frame.  48x48 is the default for MV - anything larger than that you risk issues with incorrect overlapping when you stand on a tile below one marked with a star for passage setting.

If you're talking about the plugin I wrote, no, it's only for the map sprites (there is no such thing as "overworld" sprites - that term is usually used for sprites on a "world" map as opposed to a "regular" map - overworld is not the opposite of battle).  You would need to find another plugin that has extra frames for battlers.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
