So I'm spriting hair. And I ran into a snag that I can't seem to work my way around. Especially since I don't know the exact name of the style.

The Manestyles are like the following:

and

for examples.

But those Spiky type style is easier to draw on bigger than Sprite heads, trying to Sprite it is causing me to run into quite a block (literally, the style looks all blocky and wrong). Any good places to look at on doing that type of style? Since when ever I try it so far it just looks horrible, but I don't know any places to really look at that'd show how to Sprite that.

In the RTP the green haired girl sprites in Actor 2 and Actor 4 have similar bangs to the style you're going for.  Use them as a reference, look at how they do it.

@Sharm,  Close, but those are all straight down. I can do that, I've been using that on some of my hair sprites, My problem is the sideswept angle variety [where I need to use two converging yet totally opposite angles.Where it goes from going at an upward spike, to a downward spike above / below it. Somehow every side spike version ends up with a block like appearance where I change angles.

At the down angle that all sprites are at you won't have anything going upward.  If you want something that looks a bit spiker though, look at Ralph's sprite.

Ah! That arc and spikes could work. Thanks for pointing that out. Thank you.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
