I'd like to request a spyro sprite sheet for my current project. Mostly because I have zero art talents whatsoever.

I would like a full sprite sheet, a fainting/collapsing animation would be nice, but is optional. Also, it would be nice if I could get a faceset. (again, optional.)

As for the style, I guess a more RPG VX ACE style would be preferred. Specifically, erring more on the side of manga/cartoonish (If that makes sense :p ) Just to clarify, I want it to be based more off of the Legend of Spyro version, which has a few differences to  the original series Spyro.

Age is maybe early 20s or so.

Thanks for taking to time to read this :3

Look for Spyro: Season of Fire/Ice sprites. They may help.

I've already seen such things. they aren't in the style i'm looking for. Even with a reference, I can't draw/edit worth a poop. It ends at being able to change some colors.

Also, i'm looking for more of a Legend of Spyro style. Apologies for not making the op more clear, i'll fix that right up.

If I absolutely couldn't wait, I could use those as a placeholder, I suppose.

Too....ugly Dx

I could rant about how much Skylanders version of Spyro ticks me off to hell and back, but i'll hold back on that. The LoS sprites for handhelds are all sidescrolling platformers, and, as so, are only half complete for what's needed.

Yeah, I totally understand. I only suggested Fire/Ice because their's were 4 directional, but I think they were diagonal, not hor/ver.

It's enough to scrape by, but I need a genuine(likely custom) set in order to really say that part's done.

Bump.

Also, i'd like to add that I want to know how difficult it would be in order to get more wonderful stuff like this, because i'd likely have a lot more work for the future.

I'm pretty new to spriting, but is there some sort of enlarged format of sprite I could use to try this? Or is 32x32 the only real option?

It is the only preferred sprite size. What you could do, is draw it bigger, then resize it down to 32x32.

Say, isn't there an RTP sprite base somewhere?

I managed to find Enterbrains Sprite bases, and they are beautifuly done. But applying that to Spyro the dragon, well- not really doable. But either way. I'll see what I can do, they must have some 4 legged bases out there. But anyone else wanting to take up this request please feel free to do so.

Sure would be nice if someone else came along. Having to fill a page with bumps isn't fun.

Well, it's good to know this is still relevant. I'm actually soon to be finishing up some projects. Got another guy wanting some dragon warriors, and I got an RM version of my old high school to complete, but since I will have a bit more time until the next semester starts, I could give this a shot. Possibly find a horse, dog, or bull sprite and edit as needed. I'm better at edits anyways. I have a dragon sprite that I could crop parts of to probably make it work. Worth a shot, right?

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
