Hello, everyone

I've been looking for a plugin with a timing bar for some on-map events and the closest thing I've found is SRDude's Timed Attack Core. But the problem is that it works only during battle. I'm wondering if there is a way to change it to work with event scripting or if there is another plugin that I've missed? If neither, maybe someone could help me make a new plugin?

Basically I want to show the same type of picture as in SRDude's plugin and to have a variable raging from 1-5 for example.
If you press OK during 1 & 5 - it's a fail, during 2 & 4 - it's success but at a cost, during 3 - its a perfect success. I would increase and decrease the variable range based on difficulty, location and so on.

I would really appreciate some help with this.

Cheers!

I already have that one, but I'm not looking for a QTE, I need a timing bar that loops back around instead of just ending.

instead of 1 -> 10 to 0 <- 10?
if so, i think you might be able to find something in the code that control it and reverse the timer.
but what is the difference if its goes up than going back to 0? the effect stays the same though.

I would just prefer to have this type of timed bar, because I want a to make a minigame based on precision, having to press the button at the right moment, instead of like in the QTE, where you have to press it before time runs out. I also like how it looks in SRDude's plugin, but it's not a priority.

if you use normal mode of QTE, it has a time, but you can make a rhym or the other one to have its one time PER button.
so you can make it more precise that way I think, I didn't look into it because i need to study how the scriptcall or plugin command
work exacly. Other than that, you might ask the author to modify it for you in the way you want.

You should just make that with an event.
You'll need the image of the target, and of the cursor.
Use a loop, increment a variable that will be used as the cursor position in degrees, rotate the cursor image appropriately.
When the player hits enter, check the cursor position and do your things.

Much easier and probably better looking than using my QTE plugin, as the rythm display is really bad in my opinion.

Could you please show me an example of how to do it? I tried to make it into a common event, but I made it extremely complicated and it doesn't work right.

What have you tried, what worked, what didn't?

I mean basically it's just:
Code:
variable degree = 0
variable time = 0
switch fail = false
show image background
show image cursor

loop
if key is pressed exit loop
if time > limit set switch fail to true, exit loop
variable degree +=1
variable time +=1
rotate cursor image by amount in degrees
end loop

if degree is not between target degrees set switch fail to true
if fail do things else do other things

Thanks for the example!

Well, mine was very convoluted with switches and labels and only 1 variable.
Basically what I did was make many loops for the show picture and if the variable is a specific number move the picture on the X axis.
And at the end if the mouse button is pressed, depending on what number the variable is, show text.
But it became too long and complicated and I must have messed something up, because it doesn't work right.
The picture moves only after I press the mouse button and it doesn't loop, it just stops moving after a second.
THIS is what I'm talking about. Viewer discretion is advised.

I guess the concept of friendship has changed :") Today I saw a very quiet boy getting bullied by his 'friends' because he wasn't talking. They made a circle and made him sit in the middle and were nagging him saying hey talk, sing a song, do this tongue twister etc. etc. And I could totally see the discomfort in the boy's face. Glad I don't have 'friends' lmao

character for fun, based on various friends input.

I've noticed that the website has changed a lot since I left in August last year...
