Stalling Event during battle without Wait?

ok enough with the forum puns

I just need a way of 'Waiting' 5 seconds during a Common Event in battle without freezing the entire battle.

Any help is apprecitated.

I know Wait in Event Commands freezes everything up but what if you set a Movement Route with Wait. I'm not on my computer right now so am not sure that'd even work but just an idea in case it helps.

The normal wait don't freeze the battle only "wait for key input" freeze the battle"

it's probably some other command that freeze the battle

You could play an empty battle animation and wait for it to finish.
