Standing still in a troop region or area - no attacks?

So in life we have this thing that happens even if you stand still in one spot....  that thing is STUFF ... stuff HAPPENS regardless of whether you are standing still or not.


So is there a way maybe through a plug in attract enemies even if you are not moving in an area or region where troops are supposed to be?

It might be doable, but it would require rewriting the engine to manage encounters by time instead of per step.

You can make a parallel process event that waits for some time, maybe check a random variable then if it returns a value that you like, do Battle Processing with the Same as Encounters option checked so that the enemy that will "spawn" will be the same setting as your random encounter. This means you can activate random encounter via both steps and time, if you only want to do it via time, you can set the Steps required in the map options to a very high number

Oh wow thats a neat idea..  that way standing still can still get attacks...  awesome work-around!  I'll try it and let you know if this works!

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
