What's the best/cleanest/easiest way to fix this? I need the tabletop over the clerk and under my actor's head.

There is a plugin that ships with the engine that fixes this. Check your DLC.

It doesn't appear to be functional? I have it enabled and it doesn't affect the tile at all. The included readme suggests that it's plug and play for actor sprites. Am I not doing something I should be doing?

Edit: Ok. Now I know what terrain tags are and this works...but the framerate flatlines when passing by this tile. So I'll have to find a different solution I think.

I can't find the plugin. Can you please show a screenshot of your plugin manager, and one of the plugin parameters?

Sure, but I've resolved the previous issue of it not working. The instructions make the mistake of assuming everyone knows what terrain IDs are. :)
But as the plugin causes horrible lag when my actors get near the tile, (and I'm sorry to say it as I recognize you worked on this plugin) unless there's a way to fix the framerate problem, I'm seeking alternative solutions.

If you don't have followers, disable it for followers, and disable it for vehicles. That'll help with the lag. I thought it actually had the option to do it for events as well, but that would have caused incredible lag. Maybe that's why I left it out.

The only work I did was to convert Neon Black's script from Ace to MV.

A solution to your particular problem might be to remove the star tile from the desk, and to change your shopkeeper sprite to only include the top half.

Yeah, I went with making a sprite sheet with the legs cut off and turning the tile into an X and that works for this scenario. If that's the best way to do this, so be it. Was hoping for something I wouldn't have to open photoshop for though.

Perhaps avoiding use of the half tile reception desk is best.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
