Hey it there any script commercially that mimic a start screen upon pressing enter you go to the main menu screen?

Kinda like the screenshot below. Or no one bother to make one even tho is one of the popular thing in most of the game?

Thanks

What is the start screen and the main menu screen? Is the main menu the menu that has the things like inventory, status, etc?

When you open a game you presented with a start screen where literally only thing that is the title of the game and a "press start" text and probably the company name and such. which upon pressing start/enter you will be present the main menu screen which is start game, load savedata, exit.

So, just for the sake of clarity, you want a screen which appears before the normal title screen.  The title screen would continue have have Start/load/quit commands.

The new screen would have functionality i.e. until you press start, the title screen never appears.

Is that right?

I know what he mean I saw moghunter doing that I don't know how to do that but actually you can make a condition method who show the start screen text or picture UNTIL the player press the button

You can message someone I know who can do this, or I'll refer your problem to him. Might as well get an answer tomorrow or if someone is working on it already, who knows.

Just use this script and make your own title screen using events. Have an autorun on the first map show a "press start" image until the player presses start, then you can make a menu using events, variables, and custom sprites. It's actually really easy to do and produces a great end product; It's just really time consuming. Then again, making games is time consuming lol

EDIT:
Use $scene = Scene_File.new(false, false, true) in a script call to access the load menu.
I wouldn't recommend loading the RTP main menu, because starting a new game in the original rtp menu would most likely bring you back to the "press start" screen. Take this time to customize the main menu to look exactly the way you want it to.

Sephiron's solution isn't very efficient especially since I already bump into a such a script but not for VX Ace (XP or Vx I forgot...) but that was few year ago when I go around to rpg maker community just to play games in the past so I think it quite possible for such a script to be made in VX Ace. (somehow I cannot find it around google anymore) Sorry about that.

@Milena Can you refer the problem to him or give me his username. Thanks.

I will still going to wait for a bit.

Edit

never mind found one while doing in-depth search around other forums But if anyone can found a better script to it like if I can use a different background and doesn't make a border around the "press start" text then it would be helpful. Plus since the script writer last activity is February it quite hard to contact him about it's use.

Edit 2

Nevermind found a much better script when doing another in-depth search this time using a different name. And since he is active I can contact him about add some improvements in his script.

I will just give some update if this is solved or not.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
