Hi All,
I'm really in need of a system that moves RPG's away from the standard "Level up = Gain Stats". What I'd like is pretty much identical to "Yanfly's Skill Shop System". Visually it would be almost identical, except for the fact that rather than purchasing skills for each character it's a shop that sells stat points. Here's the thing, I want to make it so that with each level up my character gains 1 "Job Point" and each stat will cost x-amount of Item +1 Job Point. Thus creating a sort of cap based on how many Job Points the character has. Naturally I'm also using Job Points to learn skills, so the Player actually has to think about the progression of their character.
Now I've tried doing it in the basic way, whereby you just create an item that will raise a certain stat and put in the notetag <gain Jp -1> but that doesn't work. I've contacted Yanfly, but I guess she is really busy. Now I realise there are ways to work around this, but I really don't want to overcomplicate the game cuz that's a sure fire way of making players turn it off.
So my request is pretty simple, can someone replicate Yanfly's Skill Learn System and tweak it to edit stats instead of skills?
