States like Poison not killing my players.

    So I've noticed when I've applied certain states to my characters that drain HP, it never kills them. Just has them sit at 1HP. I tested this theory by creating an enemy that does nothing but heals themselves, and made a skill that inflicts the ailment on myself.

    Is there any way I can make status ailments kill my players?

    I think it makes things way too easy if poison and things like that aren't killing them.

    If the states aren't killing your actors, then it's because you told the engine not to K.O. (kill) them by that damage.


    Go to database, system, options (top right) and check the boxes for slip damage (states) and floor damage (tiles)

    I have a problem,

    I have States that can only occur to my actor when an item is used. The issue is, everytime I use the item, and the state occurs, it kills him. I do not have any parameters associated with it. I am only using the state to use in a conditional branch in RPG Maker VX Ace. Does anyone have any input?
