I don't know if I'm stepping into the deep end here, but would it be possible to make a state (or anything) that takes the last skill your enemy has done and give it to you? I realized just typing this how difficult it sounds but I was thinking about the move 'disable' in pokemon where you can make the last move used by your enemy unusable, but instead give it to you.

This will need a script, but such scripts already exist - I just don't remember what it was called, you'll have to check the master script list yourself. Maybe as "blue magic script" or so?

It can't be done by eventing alone (theoretically yes, but it would require such a complex set of events that scripts are much easier)

So if you used it just after the enemy used say 'Poison Sting', then your character would learn 'Poison Sting'?

Is this permananent or Temperary?

I'll be sure to check it out :) thanks

not permanent . More like if poison sting was the skill used last then maybe this skill could be replaced by poison sting until the end of next turn.

EDIT: I looked at the Blue Magic script and its exactly what I was looking for thanks guys :)

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
