So I was looking to implement a stealth system in most of the games I'm working on. I found Jet's beautiful Stealth System script for Vx Ace (system I'm most familiar with), but noticed it uses region tiles to mark where you can stealth. I'm already using Galv's Region Effects to create footsteps and tracks and things. As you can only have one region tile do one thing I've run into an issue. Does anyone know of any other fantastic stealth systems that use common events or some such? I was wanting to replicate or simulate games such as Icewind Dale or Baldurs Gate for a rogue stealth system that includes hiding in shadows, visibility detection and backstabbing- if capable. I'm fine with eventing everything if need be. Currently I'm looking to use a stealth system in two seperate ways-one for a heavy Baldurs Gate/Icewind Dale/Skyrim inspired game I'm working on and a much shorter horror game where you simply need to hide from the main enemy and sneak around.
Any suggestions would be lovely!
