they're the same :) I work on projects in desk top and sometimes switch up and work with the steam version and there's no problems

I just recently got my non-steam version by requesting a non-steam key since I already had it on steam.

Venka is correct, they are both exactly the same (minus cloud saves and steam workshop).

As long as the game files are saved on your PC, both versions can edit the same exact files.  :rock-left: B) :rock-right:

Both Steam and non-Steam versions refer to the same location for projects. For example if you used to use non-Steam, open a project, then switch to Steam, it will open the same project upon start up.

If you are just wanting to file share with a friend without having Steam, then no there will be no compatibility problems. I use a Steam version on one computer, non-Steam on another and use Dropbox to save the file. That way I can work on the project and have no problems between the two.

I think the only time it wouldn't be compatible is if they released a major update for ace and your steam automatically updated, where as him having the disk would need to manually update it. Game files might not sync properly until you're both on the same version, but like everyone said above excluding that scenario there's no problem.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c

To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
