I was just writing an email to my campers to consider holding out for a great sale to economize if necessary for their Ace purchase while they learned Lite, but this makes that unnecessary advice.

Curious.. if I have bought RPG VX Ace through Degica (sorry if that's not spelled correctly), will any resource packs I buy through Steam be useable with my Degica version of Ace both in terms of legality/licence and also in terms of where and how the files are stored/updated etc

Steam wont let you buy resource packs unless you bought VX Ace on steam. So unless you buy VX Ace on steam, you can't take advantage of the 50% off on Resource Packs. This is because steam is registering the packs as DLC.

Simple, to force you to buy the program from them assuming the buyer doesn't know that he has other venues to buy the maker and the packs...

I actually just found out that you can get a steam key for VX Ace (And therefore not have to buy it twice), this thread:

I had bought VX Ace through Steam when it was first available there, but this is for those that bought it and need it on their steam account to buy the resource packs.

Interesting.. yeh I do my Steam key for the product.. but I don't like messing around like that.. I'll just stick to my Member+ discounts and Degica sales (like Golden Week etc)
