get in touch with support on the main website. We can more than likely look up your purchase (need name, email etc.) and set you up with a Steam key.

Said this on my twitter earlier but I honestly don't get/understand this whole Steam thing. That said this whole thing has me intrigued. 

It's probably the best game and software distribution platform to many people. If you own a lot of games/software it's useful to have it all in one spot and install it all through the client in one clean go. It also has some amazing sales 4 or 5 times a year. Some people don't like it, of course. To each their own.

I hated steam a long time ago when it was so buggy, buggy offline-lan play and it didn't have a lot of games. Aside from the DRM it added nothing.

But now, you can use it to find game-buddies, you can read user-reviews on a game before you buy it (very helpful to filter out those buggy crap games), cards (can be addictive), ingame messenger that acts pretty much like the old XFire, etc.

It's good now imo. And yes the Christmas sales for example have discounts ranging from somewhere between 25-90%. Just lovely.

Steam Achievements by the way would be weird for RPG Maker Ace. "Place a 100 events" or "Crash the game 3x in a row" .

The achievement you mentioned it Just like the achievement from RPG Maker competitor game engine that is also on steam. Lol

Having said that, though, it would be nice if you decided to dole out pieces of advice along with these things. Or let me trade in my Steam copy of RPG Maker for a regular one.

They're not compulsary and shouldn't force you to. 

They're just there for fun, as fun collectibles and not for your games or anyone else for use. They're also for Steam users that don't use our forums at all.

Also we have the pieces of advice in Andar's signature which is for newbies. As for Steam Copies of VXAce, please refer to the opening post.
