You would most likely need the steam version installed to do it. On steam, RPG maker is tied to your account and that's how it identifies you when downloading or uploading to the workshop.

Hmm. I see. Will the steam version ruin the non-steam version?

Shouldn't, they each have their own install path. The only problem I can see is file association. if you try to open a project file, it might not know which one to open it in.

Yeah, file association is the tricky part. Typically, clicking on the rvproject2 game file will open up whichever version of VX Ace was most recently installed.

Is there a way around that?

you can right click a proj file and select open with, then find the Ace that you want and tick the box which says always open using this program

How should scripts be added to this? I'm not seeing it as an option under "Game Genre/Resource Type" in manage projects, but it's listed as a filter in the workshop.

Good question! For now, you could create a small demo game with the scripts included. We'll have to talk with our technical team about adding some sort of functionality for scripts :)

Does Enterbrain code this stuff or did they outsource it?

I think Delgica made the code for the workshop. Since they have the rights to modify the program in any way.

Okie dokie, I put a couple of those up. :)

Really liking this feature so far. The Workshop makes doing little demos for them a lot easier than uploading on a website & making people download from posts to try it out. I love that every subscriber will automatically have any new releases/bug fixes without following forums.

Sure, that works! We can also look up your purchase history if you provide your key and purchase e-mail. You can send in a support ticket or e-mail marketing@rpgmakerweb.com - both teams are active in assigning Steam keys :)

How do I find the key? All I received from Steam is the receipt, I'm forwarding my Steam repeipt to marketing@rpgmakerweb.com The receipt has the same name as my username. I hope the email arrives. That's the first email I've sent out since Yahoo changed stuff again.

I believe the key is automatically tied to your steam account... so download RM from steam and run it from there...

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
