If someone else did turn these into a tileset could they add them to this topic? or would you two (lunarea and Celianna) be against that?

Does the commercial use license 150$ (that expensive compare to other resources for sale at the shop) is per game or per company/user?

    thank you answering my question.

I'm willing to share the tilesets I made out of the tiles provided here, but only with permission of the artists.

I would certainly appreciate it if you did, Candacis. I'm entirely new to parallax, and finding time to learn is a bit difficult, right now.

From the sound of earlier posts, however, I don't think they'll give you permission. Maybe they're trying to avoid people from using their work without giving credit? Most parallax users I've seen on here are usually committed/experienced enough to know better.

$150 for tiles of this caliber is actually a really generous price.  Thats like 50 cents an asset... you're not going to find cheaper than that...

    Terms of Service:
Free for use in non-commercial projects. You may edit them for your personal use. Do not re-distribute original tiles elsewhere.
License for use in commercial projects made with RPG Maker VX/Ace is 150$. Please contact Celianna or me (Lunarea) for licensing agreements.

Terms say you can't redistribute... so I'd say that's a no... but I don't think it's as much that she didn't want to make them into a tileset as it's a pain to get tiles to work in a tileset, and some of the shapes may not lend themselves to tiling on the grid.

Quick and dirty, an interior done with the set.  Ceiling is Mack with darker levels, floor is standard Ace RTP with darker levels and a very slight hue change.  Photoshop CS6 was used to make this.  It incorporates two layers, that being beneath the actors and above the actors.  Ceiling and top part of desk is on the top layer while everything else is on the bottom.  Parallax was not used, but if used, use some sort of region ID restriction to make is so that you don't walk all over everything.

Love the set.  Hope to use it more!

Well, I would post it in this thread, not taking credits for anything, but as I said, only with permission and if they want that. As with the tilesets, it is impossible to have all of the graphics in there, but you could just copy/cut it in a graphic editor programm yourself and make a tileset for your own purposes and game. There are some tutorials in the forum that explain this process and it is not that difficult.

I have to admit so, putting the walls and roofs in there took a little bit of editing, so that one could use them via tileset. It is not perfect so. And I only did make the exteriour tilesets A2, A3, A5, B, C, D and E. I think (I made them a year ago), I put some little decorations from Celiannas other graphics and of course, rtp vx ace originals in there, too. Because of this reasons I don't know if they allow it.

I love the steampunk graphics, in my opinion they do have a very distinguished look and are easily recognizable. But yeah, I get that tilesets have a bigger user range and the risk of not getting credited is higher.

These are such amazingly gorgeous tiles, and if you ask me, $150 is pretty reasonable considering how much backbreaking, eye-straining work the artists had to go through to for our benefit. I would gladly buy the resource packs if ever they released it.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if I am able to use VX assets if I only have Ace? I am a bit confused by the differences between them. Am I not allowed to use Lunarea's and Celianna's steampunk tiles (for parallax) if I don't have XP or just VX?

@Cakefuneral - You know they're not tilesets, right? They're meant to be used for parallax mapping in an image editor programme like Photoshop or GIMP

... Or how to download, do you mean Right clicking and save? ;D

You could edit it into a tileset yourself. Some things won't work that way of course, but you could just not use those if you really don't want to do any parallax mapping.

Well, I know you said not to request to put it in a tileset form. However, parallax mapping is still something my brain will not wrap around. Would it be okay if *I* created a tileset from these? Or do they absolutely HAVE to be used in parallax? I don't want to get in trouble, but Steampunk is one of the greatest things on the face of this planet, you did so well capturing the feel of it, and I'm only good with the map editor xD.

You're welcome to create a tileset for your personal use (a few people have). But please do not share, post or redistribute the tileset itself. :)

These tilesets are great, thank you for having created. I made a map based on them. However, it has 1% RTPAce.

The 5th wall looks like the wall of 221B Baker Street. These tiles are amazing and I wish I knew the cheat code to make tile sets as good as you :)
