So, when I get all moved and settled into my new place, I would like to start work on the next BIG resource bundle! But I am not quite sure which genre I wish to tackle: Steampunk/Wild West or Sci-Fi?

So I turn to you. What would you prefer to see?

Both would include tilesets, character sprites (4 and 8 direction [with 3 and 8 frames of animation sheets], down poses, using new, better-looking animations), animated battlers and static front-view battlers, faces (maybe emo-sets for the 'main' characters?) and various other resources. More focus will be placed on creating more unique poses and animations for monsters and main-type characters, but there will be an abundance of 'NPC' characters as well.

The Steampunk/Wild West set would have materials for both of those genres, both Steam Punk and genuine Wild West. There is enough overlap between the two that most can be used interchangeably, but there will be the inclusion of a lot of Steampunk elements, like a steam carriage, mechanical body parts on some characters, plenty of aviator goggles, and what have you.

The Sci-Fi set would be more space-station/terraformed planet themed (I was thinking of adding some dinosaurs in, ala futuristic Jurassic Park, or like the Garden in FF8 which had the T-Rex). There would be a lot of various Sci-Fi soldiers, robots, and so forth and the tiles would lean more towards a sleeker, maybe more sterile-looking environment for the most part.

So please let me know what you would like to see made next! Thanks!

Sci-Fi! Though I was thinking more of a futuristic large space-ships kind of deal. It's definitely a close call between the two though, but still leaning towards sci-fi.

My bad, yeah, there will definitely be a lot of spaceship parts and elements included in the sci-fi set. A variety of personal vehicles, but also things like Mecha (the Mecha might be an add-on, depending on how much time this all takes).

Steampunk! Will it include strange contraptions\machinery? Perhaps some steam powered automatons?

I voted for Sci-Fi - my secondary idea for a game is XCOM-Themed and I had been considering purchasing the existing SF-RTP-Sets, but I would much more prefer a SciFi-Game with your graphic types than RTP.

I went with other cause I would like to see something Art Deco-y or WWII era aka Dieselpunk/Decopunk style sets.  Diesel punk being closer to the 30s and 40s/WWII, and decopunk being the 1920s America, though I believe Berlin and London had similar style senses at the time.  If I had to pick between those two I'd go with Decopunk over Dieselpunk

Wild West. Always Wild West. There're already so many resources out for futuristic things, and barely anything for cowboys~

Depends on how long it takes to make a pack.  If it takes a year, then totally Cowboys/Steampunk.  I, personally, am waiting for good Science Fiction graphics (particularly in your style), so...

More often than not I'd say sci-fi, but this time I went with steam. I think if handled right, steam punk could really work with the high-fantasy bit, and make it possible to create even more fantastic worlds.

*groan* please not more futuristic stuff! We've got a lovely collection of Art ready to go! I would love to see some more Steampunk stuff :D especially in your style! As Amerk said, it would work quite well with the rest of your High Fantasy content :) for a steampunk/fantasy 0_0

I would LOVE to see Steampunk!

This is great guys, but right now it is an exact even split :)

Let me just say that I intend to ultimately make both and then some in the future, but this will help me determine which one to make *next*.

I would say it would take at least a couple of months to make, either pack. Tiles are particularly time-consuming, as is all of the animations. But I enjoy doing it, so it's not too bad.

So please keep casting your votes for whichever you would like to see come up next :)

I voted for steampunk - much more versatile and with so much sci-fi stuff already out there, steampunk would definitely fill a gap.  I also like the idea above of decopunk rather than desielpunk.

My vote was cast for steampunk/wild west, I'm having trouble finding any steampunk/wild west resources.

I am humbly asking that whatever you do make, I ask that you also make east/west and north facing doors, as well as more stair options.

Multi-directional facing tiles (north, south, east, west) is something I wish we had more of (doors, chairs, beds, stairs, chests), regardless of who is creating the pack, so I definitely agree with you on this.

Definitely Wild West! The lack of this type of resource is so prominent in all the RPG forums yet the sci-fi resources can pile up already.
