Stop player movement

I've been trying to figure this out but just can't get it.   Is there any way to make the player not be able to move during the same time as this event's script is in process? I have the wait for completion checked but that's not making player stay . Any help is much appreciated.

You have to set the event as "paralell" i think.

yes it is a fishing event started by action button

Lol don't make feel so dumb, I just went and changed them all to autorun and is working fine. Everybody's  a noob at some point I guess! Thanks a bunch!!
