For a bit of context, I'm using Yanfly's battle core + action sequences. I'm trying to make the actor move around when they take damage from a regular attack, assuming it doesn't miss. I've got the action sequence itself worked out just fine, but the problem is there's a pause before the movement plays out when the actor gets hit. (The sequence plays as intended when it's an enemy taking the hit however).
Here's a clip of what's happening. (enemy shows the intended animation. Actor's gets interrupted by the 'wait' after the damage pops up.)
I've tested the action sequence on the actor without the damage effect and it plays out as intended. It's just the brief wait after the actor takes damage that messes it up.
Is there a plugin out there to stop the battle flow from pausing when an actor gets hit?
(Also unrelated, but if anyone's concerned, the FF2 graphics are just placeholders. They won't be in the final game.
