Hello RM friends!  I've been looking to tweak a script by Emerald (found here) that deals with taxes. I've just begun my journey into scripting, and I feel like this is a pretty straight forward thing, but I'm just not there yet. Apologies if this isn't the right place to put this request, his page hadn't been active for a few years, so I didn't want to necro-post.

What I would like is to take his script, and have a way to store the taxes as a variable.  This would lead to the town being able to use said taxes to spend money and upgrade the town-- though I imagine once a variable is created to store the taxes, events could be made to spend the taxes. Taxes could be spent on bringing new shops to an area, hiring guards, or opening new trade routes.

Emerald also has a property script, which if there's a way to incorporate that into this somehow would be awesome, but is probably a bridge too far.  I'm not as interested in the player owning property and making money as I am creating a more organic/dynamic land that reacts to the player.  Something like this would need to be town specific or even Shop Clout  specific.

Any piece of this puzzle you all can shine light on would be appreciated, as I mentioned, I am trying to learn more about scripting, so I'm not afraid of some elbow grease-- this just seems a little more advanced then I'm ready for.

Cheers!

On my journey of character rework: I had this character, she was meant to be just a princess that joins your party. And at long term she was just uninteresting... So I tweaked her to be a rebel agaisn't the royalty before meeting up with the party.

Quick tip for any other ametuer pixel artists! When trying to create a colour palette, enabling Antialiasing can speed up the process of creating different shades! Just place your lightest colour and your darkest colour next to each other, select both pixels, and stretch it out!
