Story Name: Lion's Den

!!!!!****This is a boy's love type of game but it's not graphic in that sense, just that the main characters are male and involved with one another romantically. I will be giving as vague as a statement as possible to avoid stumbling upon any R18+ material so if you would like a better summary please message me for it.***!!!!!

Story Idea:

Leon is involved with a feralistic, vulgar individual named Dog. Dog, himself, is a ball of energy, an insatiable hunger for food and odd habits that frequently get him in trouble. The game starts as Leon wakes up and finds that Dog has managed to simply vanish. A few days into his absence and then it beings to worry Leon, Dog can disappear for days on end but usually he comes back.

Leon has to take what little clue he has about Dog's habits and find others who can help point him in the direction of where he might have gone. Along the way he questions whether or not he wants to remain chasing him, as more facts about his lover come to light. None of them positive, most horrifying and sickening as Leon will come to realize that these dark facts have spilled over onto him. Whether he knows it or not, he becomes a partner in these things his lover has done and has to decide whether he will continue or attempt to right the wrongs.

There will be a few more key people along the way; Dog's brother, one of Dog's closest friends, and some of Leon's peers will offer advice about the various things he discovers and what he'll do with them. This will be mostly choice based game with limited combat but several unlockables along the way to help spread more light on the story between them, Dog's past, Leon's past and how they ended up in the mess they're in.

Overall, it leads to a spilt ending where neither of them are particularly good but both have different angles.

I've definitely heard worse baseline stories.
Might be intrigued enough to play it; might not. Depends a lot on the execution. :)

Could be interesting. i'd say go for it but please don't make it into anything typical animesque.

I personally don't like the animesque angle myself. It makes it seem, I don't know. Strange and unrealistic?

At least for this kind of setting.

I will hopefully do it in such a way that is enjoyable! Without being predictable and base.

Define "animesque", please.

There's plenty of variation in anime; let's say Appleseed, Dragonball Z and DearS, to pick three, might as well be made on different planets, after all...

Well, to me 'animesque' means something that has over-exaggerations, predictability and nonsensical solutions. I'm not talking about all anime just in general  the feel I get from certain ones is the kind of thing I want to avoid in the game. Make it closer to realism but have a touch of unrealism without it seemingly completely strange. Along with not making it to where every moment can be predicated without serious thought and keep someone on the edge of seat to figure out what's going to happen.

That's just my general thoughts about the term 'animesque'.

From that description, you could as well have called it "Pythonesque". :p

The best part of your examples is that they can all be considered 'sci-fi' in some sense. ;)

To get back to the topic at hand, there's really not a lot to go on from what you've posted but it seems alright. Your summary does seem a little melodramatic though.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
