Would this background be interesting enough for a RPG-Game?

For the last few months I've been writing a story set in a different form of fantasy world that is not exactly your regular medieval society. I'm currently considering if I should create a game in that world or not.

Synopsis:
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals.
The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely.

The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced doom, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice.
Now he is asked for a repeat performance in a world that he knows nothing about…

But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be.

The story currently stands at the equivalent of 144 pages (in paperback form), with around 8-10 pages added weekly)

Whatever the 'Sphere' is isn't exactly well defined. Nor is what 'Dungeons' are. What are these things, and what do they mean to the world? Trying to read it, but it doesn't make much sense without any sort of context.

@Milennin It is explained in more details in the story itself if you read that through the link given - the description of the sphere is intentionally missing as it would be the task of the player/reader/main characters to find that out.
As for "Dungeons" - the "dungeon core type story " is a certain type of stories very close to the "Dungeon Keeper" games where the main character is the Dungeon itself and part of the story is how it defends itself against the invading adventurers - again the details are different depending on the story you read.

The game however would focus in the usual adventurer side and have the player going on dungeon crawls like in a lot of the games out there where the focus is more on exploring dungeons than on following stories. I would add more of a story there, but a big part of it would still be finding and exploring dungeons.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
