Hello! We are Studio Spiral Dream, an organization and Art Studio dedicated to helping artists of all kinds while also working on our own Projects.

We are currently in need of some assistance with our RPG Maker Game, "Killer Flamingo" as only one of our members has the knowledge of the program while the rest of us are working on Illustration or Promotional Works for the game and another project.

A young woman by the name of "Sreda" must travel to the Southern Badlands in order to become the next "Lorekeeper" in order to cure her people of a mysterious illness. In order to make sure she makes it there safely, a legendary "Watcher" named "Killer Flamingo" is hired to escort her.

The Main Protagonist of Killer Flamingo. She quests together with the “Killer Flamingo” in order to become the next Lorekeeper and save her hometown. Due to her origins she is very cynical and skeptical of people and sometimes comes off as arrogant due to her people's power over Time Manipulation. However she means well and is a bit naive due to her sheltered life.

A Heartbreaker Named Eris

A Heartbreaker named Eris is an eccentric, while people understand what they are saying they don’t understand their meaning.
They're a bit arrogant and sarcastic, often times saying rude things even when they're well-intended. They do not care for much at all but music and flirting (to the chagrin of Sreda) however they always seem to be there when it matters most. They also prefer being called their whole name, not just "Eris" but "A Heartbreaker Named Eris". They tend to refer to themselves in 3rd person.

“Rob” is an otherworldly being who created a mech-like suit of armor in order to fulfill his dream of becoming a "Spiral Knight" He has taken the examination to become one and somehow has failed each and every time. He's very boisterous yet friendly and is always willing to lend a hand in the name of Justice. He frequently has people take a quick survey of his Knighting ability after rescuing them.

The titular character and a famous "Watcher" for hire. An apathetic man who doesn't really care about his clients or their problems and is only concerned with getting paid. He wields a magic weapon known as "Lorraine" a two-handed sword that has the ability to change it's elemental properties giving the wielder distinct advantages in and out of battle. Killer takes the job of escorting Sreda to the Southern Badlands because he was offered an extraordinary amount of money...And because no one else is either brave or stupid enough to go there. He has a bad habit of forgetting things he doesn't view as important, these things include Sreda's name.

King Bite is the current and 47th King of the Reverie Kingdom. He is also the first Dragonskin King. His methods are abnormal and unorthodox as most Kings tend to dress appropriately and have their Soldiers fight in their place.
King Bite personally takes care of any threat that encroaches upon the Kingdom of Reverie, if the ceilings of Reveria Castle are any indication.
Some disagree with his methods however his approval rating is 88%. However this may largely be due to him dating the incarnation of hatred and darkness, Calamity Witch Scharlotte. He disallows Sreda and company from proceeding to the Southern Badlands until they have proven themselves.

Calamity Witch, Scharlotte

Years ago in the world of Gyre, The Calamity Witch, Scharlotte tried to use her powers to convert the world into zombie servants.
However, due to the efforts of King Bite and the Spiral Knights, they were able to quell her from progressing her vendetta.
King Bite and Scharlotte’s battle lasted for 9 long days and nights. Destroying the Witch’s castle and leaving a crater in the ground from their battle. After being defeated, King Bite persuaded her to channel her energy into more positive things.

A bit later on, the two began to date.

At the moment we are using default tilesets and animations along with Aekashics' Battlers to test things out for now, as we would like to focus more on the world and characters and the way they interact with one another before we focus heavily on making it super pretty. We would like to make even NPC's memorable to the player, not just the Main cast. We're also using Yanfly's Doodad script to tidy up any of the maps to make them a bit less bland. Unfortunately since they only show in the maker itself, the maps may look a tad bland (lacking any other accessories to the map like rocks, plant life etc.)

By discovering new locations and talking to NPC's and learning new information about the world around you, you're rewarded with EXP, Gold, Items, Materials for Synthesis and more! So be sure to explore and talk to people and information signs as frequently as possible.

The game has a built in Compass for finding destinations such as main story quests or side quest destinations easily and for convenience. There is also a Time System with Night and Day elements, even the Lights turn on and off depending on the time.

In the game, we will probably try to use busts for conversations between main characters or situations like this. We're thinking of possibly including Voice Acting into the game as well.

Hospital - Heals all your wounds and status conditions for a small fee and allows you to buy medical supplies. Always gives you a complimentary Fresh Water and Ringo.

Inns - Gives you the “Well-Rested Status” which temporarily boosts your Max HP by 200% for 500 steps. Merchants will also appear here where you can sell some goods for double the amount.

Dungeon Crystals - Teleports you back to a specific location of the dungeon (Beginning of the Dungeon and end of the Dungeon) Another Crystal allows you to heal a max of four times before breaking. Ego material deposits in Earth, Wind, Fire, Electricity, Ice, Darkness and Light.

Stations
- Allows you to travel to certain locations faster. Run by Carrie. Her sister is Marie.

Sidequests
- Missions that deviate from the Main Story.

Teleporters - City Teleporters that’ll take you to any location within the city.

Library - Cozy up with a book and temporarily boost a stat for 500 steps. Also learn the lore of the game’s world. Also have Marie decipher Lorekeeper Entry’s. Marie’s sister is Carrie.

Cornery Confections - A bakery that creates all kinds of goodies to eat and drink. Run by Lee.

Armory - Create and buy new pieces of Armor. Run by Forje and Hammah.

Tavern - Recruit temporary members to your party for a price. Also interact with Helica, doing so will allow you to use Reward Tickets which will allow you to purchase materials.

Gain Experience
- From exploring new locations, gaining info from NPC’s etc.

Encounters - On map encounters.

Night Market
- At night, Treasure Hunters buy materials or accessories for triple the price. Run by Zules.

Hotsprings - Random Hot Springs all over Gyre will restore your HP fully for a price. If you have an Herbal Oil or Bath Bomb, it can increase some stats. Also create new Herbal Oils. They’re all owned by Demon Lord, Cairo.

Random Item Orbs
- Random items that will appear all over the world.

Fishing - Catch fish and donate them to the Museum. Doing so will net you some money and info about the creatures. At certain ports, you can sell them for double the cash or get certain items.

Potion Infusing - Power up potions you have by paying and having the appropriate ingredients (bugs maybe?).

Duels - Other watchers will challenge to sparring matches. These will net you money and rare materials for synthesizing weapons and armor. Also give double EXP. Most duels are Optional.

Duelist Club - Fight mobs of enemies with a boss at the end to win huge cash payouts or other items. However you do not gain experience. The higher your rank, the more money you earn. Run by Zuzu.

Gift Shop - Buys gifts for NPC’s and your own party members.

Technique Clique
- A special shop where you can learn new skills. Either from Monsters or Other Watchers. Run by Zulianne.

Auction - Take a bid in the auction to try and win some cool loot! Run by Zulala.

Gondolas - Take two of your party members for a ride to become closer.

Scharlotte’s Soul Gig - Collect tormented Souls for Scharlotte to receive money/rare items/upgrades. Requires Spirit Flask.

Dream Team - Developers of Game ask you to collect 300 Dream Tokens. Will receive a special reward.

Engineer - Allows you to create and buy upgrade augments for your weapons.

Befriend - Befriend certain NPC’s to get their summoning coin which allows you to have them help you in battle. Also get a CG and their Theme song personal BGM Disc to add to the Sound Test.

Digging Spots - Uncover rare items or jewels to sell. Requires Spade.

Bonfires - When Eris is recruited, you can play music around the bonfire.

Lorekeeper Channels
- Engraved Slabs that awaken locked chests on Cloud Isle.

Cloud Isle
- A floating isle with cool and rare treasures that are only unlocked by finding
Lorekeeper Channels.

Food - Temporarily Boosts Stats for certain # of steps.

Haven Sites - Set up Camp and heal your party etc.

Augments - Power up weapons with Augments ex Strength I, Protect II, Resilience IV etc.

BGM Discs - collect BGM’s scattered throughout Gyre by the Sound Mage Balnysus.

Mining - for various ores and ego deposits. Requires PickAxe.

Cell Phone - Call various NPC’s and take Selfies at certain locations to get CG’s of the party.

CG Viewer - View Photos on your journey. (Some you can get only when you have certain party members).

Super Secret Password
- Get certain bonuses/items by using passwords.

Keijo Gambling - Participate in Hip Whip Battles. Earn rare materials, items and or money. (Killer, Sreda and Eris Only)

Heaven Medals - Destroy certain creatures to obtain rare medals to exchange for a nice reward.

Alternate Paths
- Take different paths in the game to reach the same destination.

No World Map - There is a "World" obviously, but all traveling is done via map to map, not through an overworld map. to keep the player in surprise of where they will wind up next.

We do hope that this amount of information is sufficient enough to tell you what we're trying to do with the game! As for the length, despite all the information we have given and the features we want to implement, the main story itself isn't very long at all! And while there is a final boss, there is no "Big Bad" villain. We want to give the player as much freedom to do whatever they want for as long as they want and have a great time playing and not be bogged down with traditional RPG cliche's and annoyances. The world is more of a combination of modern/sci-fi/fantasy than just one or the other.

Looks very interesting! If there's still an available vacant, I could work as a Puzzle maker, also with the Database, as a writer for side quests and even a beta tester. I'd offer myself as a mapper, because I consider I make beautiful maps, but I noticed your maps are made within RPG Maker and I work mostly with Parallax mapping, so combining these two methods is not always good. Let me know if you need me!

Absolutely! We used the regular RTP for now sorta as a gist of what we're looking for? They're in no way final, so we would like to rework them and make some really beautiful parallax maps! We can continue further discussion via PM and we can add you to our discord as well to get a hands on look of the things we're working on for the game and how we're going about it! Hmm, I suppose you would be right! I don't usually see them as the same thing personally, probably because (Im great at handling variables...)

Also, I'm confused as to what you mean by "1 year old"?? Maybe you meant something else?

The number I circled is your age. That's why I was rather confused.
I ask about the variable thing because variables are part of events and are usually required for most complicated events. But yeah. I'm good at variables too, so I was just curious.

This seems like a fun team to be with. I noticed that you have no one on combat animations and skills and I can do that. I'm not an artist so I cant really create a picture and use it. But I am experienced enough to make amazing animations.

Quick question is this a VX ace or MV?

Animations is precisely what we meant for combat animations! I will rectify that in our post for sure, but we'd love to have someone help with combat animations!

We're primarily using RPG Maker MV! We did want to use Ace, but I suppose MV seems to work better for what we want when we compared them. Even if Ace is older and has more material readily available. We'd like to be able to truly showcase what MV is capable of. If that works for you we can discuss further in a PM!
