Stupid event just won't move...

What can I say, this is a very simple event that just doesn't wanna work. This usually means a very simple error or accident. Did you bother checking your common events at all? Try making a new event in that same map with the same conditional switch.

You can always provide more information by showing us the events that directly impact this map and the switch.

I only have one common event at the beginning of the game for introduction, none of which has anything to do with this. It's not the event, it's something else with that particular map. The same event works on other maps. And yes, I made a new event and tested it already. Anything that has to do with movement will not work at all.

During one of the testing, I gave the event a move route when being interacted, it froze the game. It only works when I press F9 to check if the switch is on or off.

I think someone suggested you check your scripts. Did you do that? Maybe there's a script somewhere that's using that switch, and turning it off.

OK! I finally just found out what the true culprit is! B)

I deleted Victor's Anti-lag script, and the event worked right away! So, there must be something in his script that ceased that NPC to move. I tried to duplicate other restroom maps, and none of them worked anymore. I don't know why, because those maps are pretty small, and the other larger maps have a lot more events going on, yet they still work fine.

Now, the only way for it to work again is to remove the anti-lag script. Guess I would have to find another anti-lag script, or hope the players have good computers. :D

that's so very anticlimactic ;x glad you figured it out. If you wanna use his anti-lag script, just put the comment call to make that event update all the time.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
