Hi there, everyone,
I am in the early phases of developing a game, and in it I have chosen to integrate Yanfly's Subclass plugin (attached) for RPG Maker MV. My ideal scenario would be to set up my game so that a player's subclass level would be half of whatever the primary class level is. One example is the class system in Final Fantasy XI, for anyone who is familiar, but if not it's basically like this: if you have a player who is Warrior/Thief, Warrior being primary and Thief being subclass, Thief would be set to half of whatever the level of Warrior is. Therefore, if Warrior is Level 30, and Thief is also 30, it would result in Lvl 30 Warrior / Lvl 15 Thief, due to Thief being assigned as the subclass.
Aside from controlling the class level itself, this would also add an extra level of strategy in terms of class unlocks, skills, etc.
Thus far, FFXI is predominantly what I find whenever I research this topic across the web, and rightfully so, but in terms of RPG Maker specifically, I have not found much thus far, so thought I would inquire with all you fine folks who have a much richer programming background than I do.
How would I best benefit so that I may add this extra layer of difficulty to the game I'm aiming to create? Generally speaking, I feel like I can talk it out relatively easy enough, but when it comes to diving right in and analyzing functions and references, things start to unravel and I'm back to the drawing board.
Any insight anyone has in regards to this is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
