About:
I've been working on a plugin that will allow the summoning of actors from skills via note tags.

The plugin also allows management of summons outside of battle while ensuring that summons are never a part of the main party.

Inspiration for this plugin comes from various locations from Pokemon to Final Fantasy and intends to incorporate configuration to use elements from both.

Additionally this plugin is being made as a base for future plugins that will take advantage of the features of the Summon Core.

Features:
- Easy to setup using note tags and one plugin command.
- Customization : Various aspects of the summon can be customized via note tags.
- Summoner Upkeep Options: turn based cost to maintain a summon
- Summon Turn Limits: summon is auto dismissed after x turns
- 3 Summon Modes: single, multi & replace
- single: summons 1 actor
- multi: summons multiple actors
- replace: summons an actor that replaces the party until it dies.
- Custom Battle Log Entries: determine the message that appears on summon/dismiss
- More features to come

Additional Planned Features
- Option to not heal dead summons
- Option to heal summons on level up fully / to the same % or health as before
- Battle GUI for summons
- More as they come

It looks really nice, I'll be looking forward to test it when the demo comes out. Feels like a team battle Pokémon plugin of sorts xD !

I do have a pokemon style add-on planned for the core. While I'll make it optional I want it to focus on a single actor / no actor parties like in pokemon.
Haven't named the add-on yet though. Summoner Add-On? Tamer Add-On? Not sure what to go with yet.

Currently due to the nature of the plugin ive had closed alpha tests so if you want to be a candidate for the next test just follow me on my profile and it'll be a quick reminder for me.

At least for my SummonCore alpha tests i intend to keep things this way since it is a fickle plugin and i know when its open to public demos im going to need the time to focus on all the reports.

I'd like opinions from anyone keeping up with this thread. I've already asked my previous alpha testers.

Instead of having to write something around the lines of
<NoteTag Property: Value>
for every property do you think something like

<NoteTag>
Property1: Value
Property2: Value

</NoteTag>

would be better? Where you only have to use the Property's you want?

Well I just spent the last 3 hours rewriting the code for the new style.

Also took the liberty of cleaning my code and adding the base for the new functions I'm adding woo!

Eagerly watching and anticipating this one. Hoping to have an engineer in my game that can summon different devices (turret, drone, etc) so this looks like a great fit.

I'm already using a little plugin for summoning, but yours seems to propose more options, so I think I will use yours when it comes out ;)

The plugin was just updated to version 0.6 and is in its second closed alpha test.

I just updated the original post so that it has some updated features and also includes the original Dev Log video from before the major forum update.

I will be posting the second Dev Log video ideally on Tuesday.

@OutsiderRazed See this all started when I needed a summoning plugin for my standard summoner class. While still a "summoner" I like the differing ideas you two have. Can't wait to see it implemented. I'll hopefully be able to speed up the pace soon.

@Nantas I'm curious as to which plugin you're using. Is it LadyBaskervilles?

@DarkChronos Just you wait to see what I have in store once the core plugin is done. I have a few add-ons I want to work on too.

LB and I have actually talked about this.
My plugin does have the same feature without any plugin commands / common events.
The core is actually an upgrade from my original Summon Actors plugin that like theirs also used common events & plugin commands.

I'll be posting a video showing what the current version can do on Tuesday ideally so you can check that out off of the first post or on my youtube if you like. The previous version's video can be found in the first post currently.

The biggest issue I'm going to have once Version 0.70 works is compatibility with a certain Fly by the name of Yan's plugins.
(I hope that wasn't offensive... i was just playing... hehe...)

Just got a better look at the MZ RTP. I'm very happy with it, especially the sci-fi tiles and sprites. Glad I pre-ordered.
I've just checked the VisuStella Plugins for MZ and there are already 11 plugins. The Yanfly team(perhaps a big one?) really works so effectively and efficiently that some MZ users can likely use tons of Yanfly plugins right after MZ's released (still 13 days from now). I wonder if any other plugin developer(or team) will try to compete with Yanfly this time, no matter how slim the chance to win is :)
