You and I share the same opinion on this topic. Capcom are jerks, and Super Smash Brothers 4 is the best Mega Man game yet. Also hyped about Rosalina (she's my fav driver in Mario Kart Wii..I dunno why) and, of course, Mega Man...still doesn't make up for the fact that Capcom is deliberately trying to destroy the Mega Man franchise, one of my all time favorite series, but I'll leave that rant for another time and thread.
I can definitely say I can ask for the Wii U version with proper Gamecube controls. To me, the controls on the 3DS are infuriating. Not a fan of the for glory mode, wish they added in a battlefield type option along with a final destination option, but it's still a cool addition.Favorite is definitely the new 3DS one because it's a competitive masterpiece. They buffed the characters/attacks that needed work, nerfed what needed to be nerfed, found the perfect balance in melee-like gravity while taking out broken mechanics (points to wave-dashing) AND IT HAS ONLINE 1v1 COMPETITIVE RANKED MATCH MAKING (that generally plays super fine unless you're fighting someone with dial-up connection). You can't possibly ask for anything better.
Well, Melee had amazing music too, but Brawl didn't completely steal it. Yeah, they have the Melee tracks in it for the Melee stages, but Brawl had its own music, and what great music it was...again, sans the victory themes I mentioned. Perhaps the Wii U version will fix the rehashed tracks. I hope so, anyway.@djDarkX - A lot of the music I know was rehashed from Brawl. However, I didn't think Smash 4 could ever live up to the content Brawl put out, and if the musics good and there why not use it?
I do want to say that from what I've heard of the Smash 4 music, it's been pretty good. A Remixed version of N's theme, the new Smash 4 theme is great also, and of course the Mega Man music.Well, Melee had amazing music too, but Brawl didn't completely steal it. This.Yeah and Capcom can go eat a bag of d--actually, I'll stop there. lol
Can't wait to see other DLC characters come out! <3Guys, Mewtwo's back. For those who own the 3DS and Wii U smash as free DLC.
I always wanted to play this game competitively. However, I'm convinced my hands just aren't fast enough for the inputs required. I would like to get your opinion on customization. Do you think that if Nintendo ignores basic nerfs and buff patches, that the community could utilize these custom features (either to bring a character up in viability or down to earth)? This applies to either equips or special moves (i.e. changes Dr. Mario's cape to one of the other 3 options or giving him equips that make his speed faster). I think if controlled right, the game could be a lot more interesting to watch rather than to just play it on vanilla.I've played competitive Smash on and off for almost 10 years now, so I really miss the advanced metagame (wave dashing, SHFFLC, edge hogging, etc.) but at least the ridiculous Brawl things like tripping have been removed. As a competitive player, I am obviously against all of the moves they have made to make the game more "fair" for various skill levels, but I understand that competitive Smash players make up a very small portion of the game sales, so they have to cater to the casual players (it's just good business). I'm still going to pick up the WiiU bundle when it comes out and probably have a good time with it.
Favourite so far is probably Project M, for competitive reasons listed above.
I'm a little afraid of the stage builder... knowing how flipnote and swapnote went I think we will be getting a lot of dick stages.@Probotector 200X - I'm about the same, I picked up Dr. Mario in Melee and I'm super stoked he made it into Smash 4. My favorite part of the 50 things direct has to be the stage builder though. It's also confirmed through an IGN interview that you can download stages other people made over the internet. Sorry to say that I don't remember Bonus Melee though.![]()
